There’s plenty around the hotel: Pattaya Walking Street is close enough to walk to, and the next street over has a Subway, a 7-Eleven, and a roadside smoothie seller with lots of flavors. I really liked the drinks. There are also many Thai massage shops nearby, where a one-hour massage costs 200 Thai Baht. The room was small, but it had the essentials: bottled water, a mini fridge, locker, kettle, wardrobe, soap, shampoo, clean towels, and bedding. The woman at reception was very polite. One thing to be aware of is that staff have a master key and may clean your room while you’re out, so tell them if you don’t want them to enter when you’re away.

It’s quiet at night, and most things are close enough to reach on foot. The room was compact but did the job, with a large flat-screen TV, good air conditioning, and a coded locker. The door uses a keycard.

The big downside was having to climb stairs to the fifth floor with our luggage, since there’s no lift. After a tiring day out, seeing those stairs again was pretty daunting. Apart from that, we had no problems, and a 7-Eleven is nearby. We booked holiday Homes because it’s near Walking Street, though it was about a 20-minute walk to both the street and the beach. The receptionist was friendly. We arrived at 1 pm, an hour before check-in, and were told we could wait in the lobby or have lunch and come back. When we returned at 2:30, the room was ready. It was nice, had WiFi, a safety locker that was easy to use, and a small fridge.

There’s no elevator, which helps explain the reasonable price and good location. The second and third floors are manageable, but going up to the fourth or fifth is a hassle. The rest of the room feels worth what you pay.

Really nice people and a quiet area. The place is great, though a fresh coat of paint on the walls would make it even better.
