Intimate Hotel Pattaya

The rooftop pool is a nice place to spend time, with towels, drinks, and a full menu available. The property also has a brewery next door, and a good restaurant it owns just across the street, which is where room service actually comes from. There's a grocery store and a small night market/bizarre right nearby, and the beach is a block away. I've stayed a few times, though I’d give it 3 stars rather than 4.

Intimate Hotel Bangkok was a huge disappointment, and I’d avoid it. The room was dirty, poorly maintained, and unhygienic. There was grime and mould around the shower, dirt beneath the bed, scum on surfaces, and cracked floor tiles. I ended up cleaning some of the bathroom myself. The online photos are polished, but they don’t match the property I found. I’ve sent Booking.com photos showing the bathroom mould, which I consider a serious health concern. Other problems included very weak shower pressure, a fridge that barely worked, a fuzzy TV picture, a balcony door that didn’t feel secure, and constant noise from neighboring rooms. I reported the issues in both English and Thai during my stay, but nothing meaningful was done. Staff apologized repeatedly, without a proper fix or compensation. The room felt neglected from the moment I arrived, and this was one of my most disappointing hotel stays. It’s badly cleaned and maintained, and not worth the money. There are much better choices in Bangkok.

There are bars, cafés, restaurants, and 7/11's close to the hotel, which sits in a cul de sac just off 2nd road. I found it noisy from early morning onward. My wife thought the breakfast was okay, and the pool was good, though the gym could use improvement. The price seemed a little higher than other places of the same standard nearby, so I'd look around before booking.

Checkout turned into a stressful confrontation at Intimate Hotel by Tim Boutique. While we waited for our car, staff claimed a pillow had been stained by color dye. That surprised us because it had been fine when we checked out, and it felt like a made-up damage charge to get money from us. The reception staff then threatened to send our car back unless we paid for the supposedly damaged pillow. It was intimidating and unprofessional, and spoiled the stay. What should have been a simple checkout became unpleasant. Based on this experience, I can't recommend the hotel. Future guests should inspect things carefully and be ready for unexpected charges.
