M Pattaya Hotel

The breakfast spread was excellent, and 7/11 plus other supermarkets are an easy walk away. We had a memorable stay in this compact hotel, set back from busy pattaya streets. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated; bathrooms were smaller but clean and fresh.

Good, helpful and friendly staff, and they moved us to another room when our AC had a problem. But the walls and doors were so thin we could hear conversations next door. We were unlucky to have some very loud guys next to us who seemed to stay up all night. Close to 2 am, I finally contacted reception, and they called the room to ask them to quiet down. They did lower the noise, but we still heard them, with loud laughter now and then, so I called reception again. After that they finally stopped talking. The lobby had a really bad wave of cheap, flowery perfume, like typical Chinese places. I'm sensitive to perfumes, and I'm sure other people are too. They should stop spraying it in the lobby, it's tacky, not classy. Overall, you can find much better for the same price. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The night staff were much nicer and more courteous, but you don't hang up on guests. Staff should be retrained in Thai hospitality practices. From the way the front desk acted, though, retraining wouldn't be enough. It seems obvious the owner doesn't care about hotel service. If you're not in a group, don't book here. They don't give a shit. We checked in late, at 8 pm, and staff still refused a late check-out, even though our car was the only one in the lot. I didn't even have time to shower. There's also a loud car wash right next to the hotel that runs in the middle of the night. My video was taken at 1:30 am. This place seems to care more about rules than its guests. I don't recommend it.

The room was spotless and we loved the location and the vibe. The pool on the 2nd floor was a favorite, and the staff were friendly.
