The owner was kind and helpful when our booking turned into a problem, and that made a stressful arrival easier. We'd booked online, but on arrival were told Maman Mansion was no longer listed on booking platforms. Two other guests had the same issue. Luckily, one room was still available for us. Several more guests arrived the following day with similar bookings, and although there were no rooms left, the owner let some rest and sleep in the lobby. We stayed four nights over New Year, from Dec 30, 2025 to Jan 3, 2026. The standard room was spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning, hot shower and a small balcony. It was simple but functional. Rates booked at the hotel are much lower than what we paid online, around 700-800 baht a day, since the place is usually rented monthly. The accommodation is decent value when booked directly, but the online booking issue needs fixing to spare future guests the same stress.

I've stayed here for years. It's clean, feels safe, and nights are quiet. The nearest bars are only five minutes away, and Soi 7 and 8 are ten minutes away. At 10 pm the security door activates, and a key fob lets you in later. Can't go wrong here.

I won't stay at Maman Mansion again. The bathroom's brick window had no screen, so mosquitoes got into my room, buzzed by my ear and woke me. I'd end up searching for them and trying to kill them in the middle of the night. Geckos and other scary-looking bugs also got inside. Sometimes there was loud yelling and drama downstairs when people checked out of the apartment.
