May Hotel

I used to love staying here, but not anymore. The hotel has gone downhill quickly over the past year in terms of customer service. The management's lies and amateur handling of things feel uncaring. When guests' rooms have been robbed or security breached, they have refused to contact the police. That's staggering. I wrote more than a dozen paragraphs about my recent stay, but Google Reviews wouldn't accept it because of the character limit. I've also posted on Trip Advisor, where I documented my full experience with management and guests' safety, security, and wellbeing. Everything seems fine until something goes wrong. Then don't expect help, action, or even an apology. The events of last weekend shook me, especially since I used to recommend this hotel. They just don't care. I'm not being a Karen.

The rooms are great value for the price. Most of the reception staff have a bad attitude, though. If it weren't for the low price...

The room is much larger than it looked in the photos, and it feels so new I doubt anyone has stayed in it before. Check-in took about a minute, the staff are lovely, and the internet is quick. Even the Sony TV looks sharp. I paid £354 for 13 nights, with some credits from Ebookers, and honestly this place is so good for the price that I’d have paid more. The bathroom is huge and the shower has proper pressure, unlike many hotels in Thailand. The bed’s massive and really comfortable, so I’m looking forward to two weeks of heaven. 🤪

We’d stayed here on every Pattaya trip with our group, but our last visit in July left me so unhappy that I can’t really put it into words. I won’t be coming back. People complained constantly, even about someone sneezing, and it spoiled the stay for us. We’ll choose a different hotel when we come as a group in January.
