The pool was enjoyable and well looked after, and Paji was especially helpful and supportive. We also appreciated the Indian breakfast. The property itself is old and doesn't feel luxurious. We were busy sightseeing and didn't spend much time there, but the location was convenient, within walking distance of Pattaya Beach and near Indian restaurants. The night market just behind the hotel is lively, with music and things like boba tea. For families, though, the setting gave us concerns. The road to the beach has lots of pubs, and even during the day we saw scenes that could be uncomfortable for children or older relatives. Walking Street is some distance away, and didn't seem suitable for kids anyway. We also witnessed inappropriate activity in the hotel lobby, which made the place feel less family-friendly. It may suit adult couples, but I wouldn't recommend it for families with children.

The reception staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. The pool was also well maintained, but the rest of our stay was disappointing. Our room at Romeo Palace was old, dirty, and smelled strongly; the restroom was cramped, the mattress was too hard, and the blanket was barely 5 feet long, too short to cover my whole body. The price didn't feel justified. An AC outdoor unit sat very close to the room and made so much noise all night that peaceful sleep was impossible. The bar and drinks staff were rude and impatient too. The negatives outweighed the good points.

The room was comfortable, clean, and nice, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The location was nice too. There's a big swimming pool for relaxing.

The staff made us feel very welcome and were incredibly kind. Our room was clean, the location was great, and the atmosphere was peaceful. I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Romeo Palace Hotel was wonderful, and I'm very satisfied. I hope to come back.

The poolside toilets were missing just about everything, and my ground-floor room smelled of drains. I stayed here 18 months ago, and the place needs a shake-up.
