Nicky's Guesthouse

Nicky's on Buakhao is easy to find on a side street just off Soi Buakhao, with indoor and outdoor seating. The inside stays cool with AC, and there's a little parking right outside. Toilets are smart and clean. Staff are quick and efficient. The fried breakfasts were very good, and the meals are pretty consistent day to day, mostly fried breakfast fare. I tried eggs benedict one day, though, and it wasn't as good.

The all-day breakfasts are great, and they also serve a Sunday Carvery if you fancy a weekend roast. The food comes out quickly, looks good, and service usually comes with a smile. It's busy and clearly has a loyal following, which makes sense after eating here. A solid cafe with a very British feel to the food. (PS, could you get some Vegemite for your Aussie guests to put on toast?)

Good food for the price, with quality and preparation that go beyond what I expected. The servers were really helpful and made sure I had everything I needed.

The pork chops were fantastic, the fish and chips were good, and the omelette breakfast was really tasty. I spent a few days there and tried several meals. The menu and prices were good, with excellent specials. I got the 99bht breakfast with an extra slice of fried bread, and the sausage and bacon were lovely, but the small bread served with specials wasn't cooked enough. The extra slice on big bread was perfect, and that happened twice. Still, the food was good quality and I'd definitely return.
