The pool was a great feature, with a water slide and cliff jump. The water was cold but refreshing, and fine once we were moving around. My wife, son, and I stayed for a few days at the end of February 2026. For 3,000b, it’s a pretty good hotel and you get what you pay for. Most guests seemed to be from Russia, India, and China, with a few thais. It’d suit families who like daytime adventures. The beach, Terminal 21, and some beachside restaurants are all a short walk away, so the location gets five stars. Service gets three, because the restaurant food wasn’t great. At that price, I’d eat somewhere else or pick up something at 7-11 just outside the lobby. The room was fine and clean, and the bed was more comfortable than most. A big plus was the shower: hot water stayed consistent, and we could take long showers, which we don’t often find in Thailand.

Breakfast stood out, with lots of choices and ingredients that all tasted very fresh. Special thanks to Momo for the warm, friendly service. She made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with beautiful scenery around the property. Its location is excellent and convenient. I had a wonderful stay, and will definitely choose it again next time. Highly recommended!

The kids really love the pool, and the location is great for shopping malls and the beach, which is better for a relaxing evening than swimming. That’s why we returned to Mercure Ocean Pattaya. We didn’t expect too much, so in that sense we weren’t disappointed. The room was okay, and the connecting room worked well for our family. Staff were friendly and welcoming as always, and really tried their best. Breakfast was disappointing again, just like on our previous stay. It felt chaotic and disorganized, with large groups mixed in among families with young kids. It was stressful: you almost had to fight for food, and finding a table was hard. The F&B staff were kind and clearly doing their best, but the overall experience still hadn’t improved. The food quality also didn’t match what you’d expect from the hotel brand. The pool is great for kids, but some pool staff had an attitude, and the way they communicate safety rules could be improved to make guests feel more welcome and comfortable. We gave it another chance, but this time it wasn’t worth it for us. I’m genuinely disappointed to keep having the same experience.

The room was spotless and comfortable, thanks to Berlin, who did such a careful job cleaning it. Phot has also been wonderful on each of our visits, always courteous, friendly, and ready to help. We’ve just finished our fourth stay at Mercure Ocean Resort Pattaya, and the welcoming atmosphere and consistent service keep bringing us back. Thanks to the whole team for another lovely stay. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

Phot at reception took good care of our belongings and was always smiling. Rin also did a great job with housekeeping. The hotel is in a handy spot between 1st and 2nd road, so catching a tuktuk is easy. North Beach is about 100m away and Terminal 21 mall around 300m. The rooms are nice, and as a gold member I was upgraded to a suite. There’s also a great play pool for kids.
