Mushroom House Kohlarn

The owners were lovely, and the place was quiet and well located. They picked us up from the Pier and dropped us back without asking for extra money, and even let us keep the motorbike longer for free. The AC room was cute and clean, and breakfast was included. I'd go back.

The hosts were friendly and gave us a few rides, and it's just a 5 min walk to the main ferry. There's a cute koi pond, path, and greenery. The beds are as firm as elsewhere in Thailand, but the washroom was much nicer than most. The room had AC, warm water, a fridge, kettle, water bottles, and a trustworthy water refill station. Breakfast is available, but you have to ask for what you want; otherwise, there's toast and jam. I took off a star because there are only two units inside the mushroom. The other rooms are cute individual buildings, but don't count on getting the mushroom room specifically.

We had AC and hot water, and the WiFi was good. The family run bungalows are cute and good value in a great location. They brought us breakfast, accommodated our special requests, and drove us back to the boat dock. There were a few mosquitoes in the evening, which makes sense with the island's jungle and foliage around. They put some mosquito coils out in the yard. Thanks!!! Lori and Andy.

It's a nice place in general, but the owners were very greedy about money. They charged us for another scooter day just because we wanted it for a few extra hours. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. I'd suggest staying somewhere else unless you're desperate for a place.
