Nam Talay - Na Jomtien

Being so close to the sea was a big plus, and getting there was easy. I felt at home at Nam Talay Condominium and really enjoyed my stay. I’d happily recommend it.

We came to Nam Talay early to look at a unit we were seriously considering buying, before our real estate agent arrived. In the lobby, a short-haired, middle-aged woman who appeared to be building staff loudly confronted my partner in Thai and demanded to know what we were doing there. We explained that we were there to view a unit with a view to buying it. She was aggressively rude and dismissive, said we couldn't wait in the lobby or be in the building without the agent, and told us to leave immediately. It felt like she was throwing us out. That was intimidating and completely unprofessional for someone representing a residential property. Other reviews mention this same individual repeatedly, so it seems like a recurring issue rather than a one-off. Her behavior is damaging the building's reputation, and the owners’ association should address it. The encounter, combined with the building's condition, ended our interest in buying there. The original architectural idea is actually good, but the place has deteriorated badly in just ten years, despite being built by an established developer. The broad façades are dirty and peeling, many exterior metal parts are badly corroded, and the whole building looks neglected over the long term. Whatever the weather and climate haven't damaged, incompetent management and staff seem to have.

Lots of Russians around, which is cool, and the listed location is decent. The manager is detestable, though the low price is one reason for that.

For two years I was happy at the Namtalay Condominium, enjoying each day. My apartment looked out over the sea and a charming row of historical houses next door. There’s also a lovely outdoor area and a beautiful pool, with everything else you need there. Fantastic.
