Tooky, the manager, was kind and polite, and explained the 500 THB security deposit per room per day. We got our deposit back after leaving the room as we found it. She said guests sometimes damage things and then leave a bad review when asked to pay for it, so be polite and treat the place well and you’ll get politeness in return. We were hesitant to book because of the reviews, but had a wonderful stay at 9 blue boutique. The bathrooms were big, the linen was clean, and everything worked. There’s no lift yet, though they’re working on installing one.

The room was pretty spacious, and the cleaning staff were very good. Both the day and night reception ladies were polite too. The hotel is in a convenient location, though it was hard to find because there’s no sign, just the hotel name on an A4 sheet. I’d definitely recommend it.

The noise outside was constant, with motorcycles and cars going by, and I only managed two or three hours of sleep a night. I also found the hotel dirty and poorly maintained. Its cleanliness, service, and general quality didn’t meet three-star standards, despite that rating on Trip.com. I usually trust Trip.com, so I was surprised to see this place listed that way. Finding it was difficult after a long journey because there’s no sign outside. I arrived around 1:00 PM, an hour before the 2:00 PM check-in time, and paid the extra 100 baht for early access because I was tired and wanted to shower and rest. After going upstairs and unpacking, I found there was no water at all. It didn’t come back until late at night, so the early check-in charge felt unreasonable. I hope this helps other travelers decide and leads to more accurate information about the property.

The building is in bad shape and poorly maintained, with worn furniture that looks like it came off the street. The hallway had cracks and old furniture turned upside down. In the room, there was no light switch, only a card, so I couldn’t turn the lights off and had to try to sleep with them shining in my face. The bathroom was awful, cracked, and had no light by the sink. The bed felt like cardboard and bent when I lay on it. Motorcycles made noise nonstop, all day and night. The property is in a crowded, noisy area of Pattaya that some people call “Little India.” The alleys where it sits are noisy 24x7, and there are big piles of trash with a terrible smell. It was impossible to sleep. Agoda rejected most of my photos showing the room, the hallway, the old furniture, the large live roaches I found, and the bathroom cracks. Those only showed part of the story. There was confusion at check-in. The address on Agoda didn’t match the address online, and Grab couldn’t find the place. I called, but the woman couldn’t find my reservation even though I had the booking number and Agoda receipt. I eventually found it down a small alley. I showed her my Agoda confirmation again, and after more than 20 minutes the owner, a young Indian man, arrived with two other young Indian men. They kept staring at me, and one was on the phone calling more Indians, as if getting ready for a confrontation. I’m a 60-plus senior male and expected things to escalate. Within seconds, though, they found my booking. I once had a similar problem with another hotel on this site, with severe mold, roaches, cracked windows, smelly rooms, and dirty sheets that made it impossible for me to stay. Agoda told me then that the Indian owner wouldn’t refund the booking.

I paid 560 baht for a single room. The price is affordable for Indians when booking through booking.com, and I was satisfied with the service.
