Breakfast was tasty, filling, and included at no extra cost. The staff were friendly, and room service was good. There are plenty of amenities around, and the beach is an easy walk away. You can also rent a scooter about 200 steps from the property, which makes it easy to get around nearby.

The room was huge, with a roomy balcony, and the breakfast was fantastic. They cleaned it daily, and the AC and induction oven both worked properly. It had all the necessary amenities and felt comfortable and spacious. The property is old, though, and there was a damp smell that seemed to follow you around. There’s no elevator, so getting to a higher floor means taking the stairs.

The two desk staff made very different impressions. The night shift girl was great and helped us a lot, while the day desk girl was rude and curt, as if we were bothering her. That cost the hotel a star. The toilet also broke twice, though otherwise we loved our six-day stay and rented three rooms. It’s a cosy, quaint boutique hotel on soi 4 Jomtien, with lovely rooms and good rates.

The manager kindly waived the one-night cancellation penalty, but I’d already decided I couldn’t stay. I’d booked six nights and ended up changing hotels because the bedding was dirty. When I asked for fresh sheets, I had to put them on myself. They were stained too, with what looked like grease. The duvet cover was ripped, and the bath mat was dirty, so I didn’t want to sleep there. Across from the hotel, a lot of massage specialists sat watching me when I opened the curtains and went out onto the balcony.
