Rimtalay Resort Koh Larn

The beachfront scenery is the best part, and the location is impressive. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting the rooms and meals to match that setting. The beds were uncomfortably firm, the refrigerator was noisy enough to disturb sleep, and the shower was very basic, basically a hose fixed to the wall. At breakfast, a preset meal arrived without anyone asking about dietary needs, which could be a problem for vegetarians or guests with restrictions. The seaside rooms felt short on comfort for their premium placement. The resort could be much better with more comfortable rooms and more consideration at breakfast. For now, the beautiful location carries the experience, and the accommodation falls short.

I really enjoyed staying here. The Arctic Sea View room was warm and cozy, and the location felt private, a nice place to relax. I'd love to come back. 🤟

The building is beautiful, the location is great, and the views and peaceful surroundings are amazing. It has a lot of potential, but poor cleanliness and staff let it down badly. I wouldn't stay again, unfortunately. Our check-in set the tone, and the staff were much the same throughout. They seemed to lack the people skills for customer-facing work, even a smile. We'd been there a few nights before asking for the room to be cleaned. We left it reasonably tidy each time, but when we came back, the two full bin bags beside the bin had been taken away while the rubbish that had spilled or overflowed was left behind. Maintenance could use attention too, as things seemed to be jerry-rigged. I'm not usually one to post a bad review, but the place has so much potential.

The resort area had a lovely feel, with friendly, good service, and it's close to what I think is the island's most beautiful beach. The seaside room, though, wasn't in great shape for the price. The bathroom smelled when we arrived, the water heater didn't work properly, and the air conditioner cooled the room well but was loud. Apart from those issues, things were okay.
