You get a great ocean view from the bar or pool at this hotel, right across from the water. The rooms are big, with good linen, a comfortable large bed, and a bath. It was clean, though the tiles had the usual Thai mold, ugh. Breakfast was included and good, and there’s off-street parking. Affordable too. I’ll stay again.

My room was clean and well kept, with a balcony and a partial ocean view. The vintage touch in the decor gave it a charming Southeast Asian feel, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is right by Jomtien Beach, where you can swim, relax on beach chairs, or try water sports. There’s a large night market next door and a 7-Eleven two minutes away on foot. I had a pleasant stay and would choose this place again. Highly recommend it!

The location was great, just seconds from the beachfront on the quiet end of the beach road. My budget room was clean enough and the AC worked well, but the old facilities were very basic, the sheet or duvet was thin, and the shower water only got lukewarm with low pressure. Breakfast was poor: one slice of pork chop, salad covered in tube squeezed salad cream, and basic bread with processed jams. I didn’t use the pool at the front because it didn’t look appealing or well maintained.

I’ve stayed at the Sarita Hotel three times, from four days up to a full month. The staff are warm and accommodating, and the cleaning ladies are lovely and responsive when you speak to them directly. But at 1200 baht a night, I expect better service and quality. Room standards are a lottery. Some AC units are loud, dusty, or smell of mold, and some doors let all the corridor noise through. Depending on the balcony and window position, you may also hear loud music until 1 A.M. I had to ask five times to get the water temperature fixed because it was barely warm, and I changed rooms at some point. The pool has sharp edges on the bottom, and sometimes rubbish left by other guests floats on the surface. I’ve seen other guests clean it up instead of a maintenance person. There’s a sign at reception asking guests to request cleaning, but one day, after I asked, it wasn’t done. I had to look on different floors for toilet paper and soap. The cleaning ladies helped arrange it once I spoke to them. The rooms need maintenance, and management should inspect them regularly so guests don’t have to report problems.
