Shambhala Hotel Pattaya

The place felt depressing and almost deserted. Our room was dirty, with women's hair on the TV and in the sink drain. There was no soap, the towels were dirty, and there wasn't even water like hotels usually provide. Reception seemed incompetent, and we ended up arguing with them. Our child started crying and pooped on the pillow, so now the room stinks. I don't recommend this hotel.

Everything looked neat and clean, and the breakfast was excellent, but the noise made it awful. You can hear people talking in the next room and traffic all night. Groups stay here, then drink and party together in their room. They really need another noise barrier. A hotel should be somewhere to sleep and relax, so bring earplugs.

The pool and room quality were both 8/10, and the design was also an 8. Internet got 7/10, while the gym scored 6. Quietness was only 4/10 because the windows are thin and nearby music played all night. Service was 5/10, with soap and vanity kits missing. Breakfast was 4/10, very basic, and espresso or latte from the coffee machines costs extra. Best Western Nexen Plus is a better alternative.

My two-night stay was a mess. There was hair from different women all over the room, and the pillows were dirty with traces of what looked like a wild night. It made me wonder what the cleaning staff had been checking. I couldn't sleep because two girls came to visit, we were screaming loudly, and the neighbors came to ask us to quiet down. It was crazy, and I didn't enjoy myself. My girls accidentally stained all the sheets, you know what with. A wonderful hotel, if ruining your vacation is what you want!
