Traffic on the busy main road beside Hotel Xing made it hard to sleep, and the only seating and relaxation area was often taken by smokers. There wasn't a proper place for non-smokers to unwind. The breakfast was satisfactory but forgettable, and the staff didn't seem as friendly or welcoming as people I met elsewhere in Thailand. I spent two nights here. I knew it was sold as a budget hotel, but the room was small and the bathroom especially cramped. Taller or larger guests may find the layout uncomfortable, and I don't think even a budget property should have space that feels unsuitable for different body types. The front office staff were also less helpful than I'd expected, which made a poor first impression. This wasn't a comfortable or enjoyable stay for me, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel, even to budget travelers. You can see how they respond to clients by reading the reply posted here! :)

Ms. Kikky from the Zing hotel restaurant took especially good care of our kids, and it was lovely meeting Ms.Daw from maintenance too. The staff were helpful and kind, and the service was good. My family and I, including our 2 Kids, Wife & Mother, stayed from 12th May 2026 to 15th May 2026. The stay was lovely. We enjoyed the included breakfast, which had a nice variety, and the rooms were very good, extremely clean, and had a contemporary design. Everything looked really new during our visit. The hotel is modern, with all the facilities needed, and is ideally situated in the centre, close to nearby attractions and both beaches. The accommodations were clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommendable.

The check-in at reception left me with a very bad impression. The staff member was impatient with my simple questions and unfriendly, even though they seemed pleasant with other guests. I felt there might have been discrimination because of my nationality or passport, though I can't say for sure. I work in the hotel industry in Thailand in a senior Front Office role, speak Thai fluently, and understand the culture. Checking in in English shouldn't lead to such a cold, dismissive response. It felt highly unprofessional, and I don't know how the hotel manages service standards or what it will do about this. I won't return. The room itself was acceptable, and the facilities were reasonable for the price, though there was no Smart TV.

Hotel Zing is hard to miss with its purple exterior. The place is clean and tidy, and the staff tend to be polite and helpful. Our room had a small safe in the wardrobe, a kettle, tea, coffee, bottled water, a small fridge, and a wall-mounted flat screen TV with a good choice of English-speaking channels. Free WiFi was available too. There was a rain shower and a hand shower with toiletries, but only bath towels, no hand towel. There are 2 swimming pools, with towels provided. It's worth adding the all-you-can-eat breakfast. Happy hour runs from 3pm - 7pm, with 2 for 1 on selected drinks. Sign up on the Zing app to get a discount on your next booking.

The hotel is quiet and peaceful at night, even with a 7-Eleven nearby, and the location is very convenient. Everything was well maintained, and my room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The buffet had a nice selection and was very good. A great place to stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
