Sunset Apartments

We liked how quiet it was, and the location worked well.

The stay was ten days, and not once were the sinks or toilet cleaned. Even the dishes were just rinsed with water and put away, so we had to buy detergent and wash them ourselves. We left tips and chocolates, but the floors only got swept, never washed, and the balcony wasn't swept at all. The table was left dirty too. There wasn't even a toilet brush in the bathroom. The hotel itself is cozy, with pools on the 2nd, 5th, and 7th floors, but the room cleaning was awful. At checkout they kept our 1,000 baht deposit over a milk tea stain on the duvet cover. If I'd known, I could have washed it with soap myself. They bought a duvet cover for 2,000 rubles and didn't return our money. I'll never go back to the Nordic.

Our balcony faced a vacant lot, which made it peaceful and quiet. The place is at the end of the street, with indoor parking, an elevator, and five rooms on each floor. Our room was on the 7th floor, where there was also a pool, and we could cook in the room. The staff were attentive, and it was cleaned daily. We were very pleased with the stay and recommend it.

The rooms have what you need to cook, including a microwave, stove and hood, refrigerator, and kettle. The one thing missing is a washing machine, though there are laundromats where you can wash a certain amount of clothes for a certain amount of baht. Shops, massage parlors, a night market, and a Russian street are nearby. There's also an ATM for cash withdrawals, with a 220 baht commission in our case. Pattaya is bustling, but this is a quiet spot. Sports fans have a small pool on the 9th floor and a gym with four machines overlooking the city. Breakfasts get repetitive, though I eat the same things at home. Come here without worrying, there's everything you need to relax.
