The Grand Day Night

My stay from March 13th to March 15th, 2026, was the worst experience I’ve had in Pattaya. On the second morning, there was no hot water in the shower and the room’s electric kettle was broken. I called reception at 7:00 a.m. and was told it would be fixed in 10 minutes. I called again and went to the lobby twice to speak to staff, but nobody came for two and a half hours. When I asked for updates, the receptionists were incredibly rude and behaved very badly. The room wasn’t cleaned during my stay either. After 5:00 p.m. the day before checkout, I asked for fresh towels, but the storekeeper and room maker said they’d already left for the day. A hotel that can’t handle basic maintenance or provide professional service isn’t worth the money.

I suggest families and couples avoid this hotel. The staff weren’t friendly, and when we complained about cleanliness, nobody seemed bothered. It felt like they didn’t care because we were one-time tourist guests. At check-in, the receptionist asked for a safety deposit. At checkout, they claimed the deposit to cover small dirt that was already there, and it seemed they didn’t intend to refund it. Check the room carefully and take photos or video in case you need to show them what was already there. We had a large family room with chewing gum stuck to the floor, and they didn’t send anyone to clean it.

My room lock and telephone both failed, and even after I reported them several times, nothing was fixed. They also take a 500 baht deposit, then charge you for tiny things like dust or a small stain. I lost 200 Baht over a minor stain. The hotel is old and seems to have only been renovated recently. There are plenty of budget places nearby, so I wouldn't book here. Worst hotel.

The deposit was 500 baht, supposedly for the key, with a promise to return it at checkout. Instead, they claimed there were stains on the pillows and blankets and kept part of it. In my case, those stains were fake, and I have proof. It felt like a planned scam to cheat guests. The hotel is also in a shady red-light area, and the suspicious people coming and going at night made the place feel unsafe and unsettling. Grand Day Night Hotel is one of the worst places I’ve stayed. There are more honest options in Pattaya, so avoid it unless you want to risk being cheated.
