The location is great, and I enjoyed staying in a room that didn’t face the beach. It’s a nice, guest-friendly hotel, and the staff were excellent, with most speaking good English. Breakfast was good, but it wasn’t included in the price. The shower could have been hotter. The keycard system needs work, and the plumbing could use an overhaul: I had to flush a couple of times after using the bathroom. I can imagine some of these things being updated during the renovation they were planning for next month. I’ll stay here again on my next trip.

Most things at the hotel were decent. The TV was large and had HDMI, the Wi-Fi, fridge, and safe worked well, and it was quiet at night. The hotel is right on the beach. There’s a large Russian presence in the area, and signs and restaurant menus are in Russian. The AC was the deal breaker for me. It worked properly only about half the time and otherwise blew warmer, humid air. I raised it with staff twice and was shown other rooms, but the AC was the same. I wouldn’t stay again for that reason. I also agree with other reviews that the room floors and mattresses weren’t cleaned very well.

The location is good, but this is a very old hotel. The rooms are okay, though the bathrooms are poor. Staff are very rude and will demand money at checkout for things you haven’t used. If you don’t pay, they threaten to call the police.

I stayed here in Feb '25. The room was big, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Great place, with a balcony looking over the esplanade and ocean.

The mattress felt like cardboard with springs. A prison bed back home would be more comfortable. I’d happily have paid 200b more per night to spare my back that torture if I visited that place. Even a car seat is more comfortable.
