The Ocean Pearl Resident

The management is pathetic. Water gets cut off for two or three days straight every month, and residents are literally told to bathe with pool water. Most floors also have lobby lights that don't work. They need to keep track of the water levels before they run low.

I was left stranded for six hours during New Year's Eve week after the owner cancelled or declined my booking only once I arrived. I'd reserved Ocean Pearl Suites more than a month ahead and asked for early check-in three days before arriving. They had plenty of time to tell me or Booking.com sooner. First I was told the room was under renovation, although guests who arrived after us were checked in without a problem. When I raised the issue, the explanation changed to overbooking. How does a reservation made a month in advance suddenly get overbooked? The owner didn't even have the courtesy to meet us or explain in person. With other places full or charging two to three times more that week, my friends and I had to share one room among three people. This showed no professionalism, accountability, or respect for guests. If you value your time, money, or sanity, don't stay here.

Right on Jomtien beach, this apartment was clean, quiet, and well equipped. It had a swimming pool, air conditioning, a room safe, and wheelchair access if needed. The owner was friendly, and there was a market and other amenities nearby. Would I recommend it? Yes.

It was clean and felt safe. The beach and supermarket were easy to get to, and Pattaya viewpoint was nearby. Walking Street wasn't far either.
