V Residence Pattaya

The room looked clean, but the bed was hard, and the welcome at check-in felt cold and indifferent. Getting there means walking down a long, dark lane with stray or adopted dogs. The tiny pool right out front looks ridiculous. For what you get, it isn't worth the money.

I found convenience stores nearby, and there’s also a bike rental service. The location is a little far out, though not too far. I stayed in a deluxe room and it was clean, well equipped, and very good. Pool service was nice, and the staff were friendly.

The worst part of my Pattaya trip was the SUV I hired through the hotel for Bangkok. The driver was foolish, rude, and foul-mouthed, and I felt worried and scared around him. It spoiled the whole enjoyment of the tour. The hotel itself was extremely neat and clean, with an excellent, spacious, well-furnished room and a balcony. The beach is about 2 km away.

The room had plenty of space and was cheap, and the location was nice. Cleaning was done very well. But resting was hard: the building is right beside a main road, so traffic noise goes on all day, and the BALL motor shop across the street makes loud Harley Davidson type engine sounds too. If you need proper rest to recharge for your schedule, this is a problem.
