Avoid booking this place. We reserved over a week ago and arrived at 1pm, only to find a group of 10 people stranded there because the hotel was overbooked. One Thai person was working there and spoke no English; when he eventually appeared, there was no room available. The hotel was still showing as bookable at the time, despite having no rooms. It's New Year's Eve today. How can they knowingly overbook to make money from people? This wasn't a one-off either, others said the same thing had happened in the days before. Unbelievable. You could end up stranded.

We arrived to find nobody there, and we were left stranded even though we were meant to stay here. We tried to reach the hotel and staff for hours and got nothing. Lots of people were waiting without rooms, and one guy was checking out because the rooms were horrible. We wasted our money and had to book another hotel. Definitely don't recommend coming here.

The rooms are horrible, really dirty, with bugs and roaches everywhere and a mouldy smell. Service is poor. Do NOT stay there!

I stayed at New sorot house for a month. The rooms were good apart from the bed, and the staff were friendly and always smiling. The mattress was like sleeping on the floor. When I left for my country, my Thai girlfriend stayed another two weeks. They then charged 600bath for water and 2600 bath for Electric for my stay. People who own a house don't even pay that much. I'm not happy about it, that's fraud.

I booked a room by mistake and called right away to cancel, but they wouldn't do it. It cost me 231$ on my credit card for nothing. I won't recommend this place ever. Crooks!
