That view from the room was absolutely stunning, and it changed how I felt about the place. The building is a little old, so at first I thought the price might be high for what it was. We paid 1,000 THB for one night through Agoda, compared with the 1,200 THB walk-in price, and breakfast wasn't included. In the end, the view made it worthwhile. We had dinner in the outdoor seating area, which was a pleasant experience. With soft evening lights and the sound of water, it felt very relaxing. The staff were friendly and ready to help. The room itself was modest. It would be useful to have a kettle and coffee or tea set there, since drinks are sold downstairs and going down for them isn't very convenient. In the morning, I carried our drinks back up myself because the room had the better view. That worked for me, but could be difficult for older guests, and delivering drinks to rooms would mean extra work for staff. For this price, breakfast or some basic in-room facilities would be common at many places. The towels were also worn and could be replaced. Even with those small things, we had an amazing stay. The owner stayed up waiting for us when our flight from Phuket airport got in very late. He treated us kindly, welcomed us, and suggested somewhere to get dinner. The room was spacious, with a terrace, a comfortable bed, and everything was very clean. Breakfast for two cost 300 THB and was good. It may be a little expensive compared with other places nearby, but for our needs it was perfect. We'd recommend it.

The family arranged an excellent boat trip for us, with stunning limestone cliffs and landscapes. They also pointed us toward some great local restaurants. Their kindness and thoughtfulness really stood out, with so many little touches that made our stay feel special. The rooms were clean and spacious, and this has been my favorite stay so far. I’ve got another three months of travel ahead, but I suspect it’ll still be hard to beat. Phang Nga is my favorite place in Thailand so far. There’s so much to see, the area feels local rather than very touristy, and the natural beauty is incredible. If I come back to Thailand, I’d return to Phang Nga and stay with this homestay family in a heartbeat 💓

The road is easy to miss and hard to find, so watch out when driving. The location is handy for supermarkets and great for visiting the national park. Our room was clean, and while we were out a friendly gecko seemed to be keeping an eye on it 😁

We felt welcome and well looked after the whole time. It’s a beautiful place with kind people, and we loved our stay. If I’m back in Phang nga, I’d definitely stay here again.
