It’s very quiet here, so I slept well without outside noise, and the floor was clean. The water pressure was good, there’s a kettle and freezer, and they changed our bath towels and provided new mineral water. There’s a lift and a balcony. Bring your own shampoo and toothbrush, as the liquid soap they provide is limited. The room also has beers and other drinks. You’ll need your own transport, though Maxim is cheaper than a tuk tuk for getting around. Halal food is hard to find, and it’s far from the Muslim food court, so it’s better to bring food from outside. In front of the hotel there’s a small stall selling ayam goreng, plus laundry service and a Doby loundy near 7 11. There’s a restaurant inside, but I’m not sure if it’s halal. There are massage services near the front office on the ground floor. There’s no kiblat signage for Muslims.

I was satisfied with my stay on the 4th floor and didn’t see cockroaches, despite what some other reviews said. The building is definitely old, but it cost less than other hotels in the area. If you’re driving, be aware that the parking lot was quite crowded, as other reviews mentioned.

The hotel is very old and I wouldn’t recommend it. Lighting was dim, the toilet had no exhaust fan, it’s far from the city, and the parking system was bad. At 6.30am I got repeated calls asking me to move a car, even though I wasn’t parked there. There’s a pub nearby with karaoke that you can hear from the room until midnight. The walls don’t block sound well either, so people walking in the corridor were loud.

14 September 2024. We had no choice but to stay here because it was a long Malaysia public holiday and hotels across the whole city were fully booked. The lobby was dim and dated, with a haunted look, and there was a big pub with GRO on the lobby floor. The room had the same dim, dated, haunted feel. The bed was hard, and the carpet and table were dirty. The parking lot was small and couldn’t fit enough cars, so people had to double or even triple park. Reception didn’t contact guests to move their cars because communication had broken down between reception and the parking attendant or security. I could see management had tried its best to improve and upgrade the room, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have another choice.
