The Sleep Phang Nga

Room 102 was the worst hotel room I've ever had, and I usually have low standards. The bathroom was covered in black mold and smelled awful, and there was mold in the room too, especially around the air conditioner. I woke up with a sore throat and felt sick after breathing that air all night. I didn't take photos because I didn't want this place in my camera roll, but the room was objectively disgusting and unhealthy to stay in. I regret booking it.

The location in town is pretty good, but the beds were quite hard. The bathroom only had a wall-mounted sprayer instead of a proper shower stall. I managed for one night, though I wouldn't recommend staying longer.

The room impressed me. It was clean, smelled lovely and looked like a four-star hotel, with free tea and coffee as a nice extra. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, and so was the fridge. There's a lovely cafe across the road, and scooter rental costs 250 baht. The staff weren't very engaging, but that didn't put me off. Great value for money and highly recommended.

At night there were roti canai and burger stalls by the roadside next to the hotel, and restaurants are within walking distance. It's also close to 7-11 and Big C. The hotel faces the main road and has no parking. There's no lift for the second or third floor. The bathroom was a little small but clean enough. The room had a TV and fridge, though the window couldn't be opened. Fine for one night.
