No 7 Guesthouse

The high ceilings, wood furniture and classic old-school architecture gave this authentic Thai hotel a comfortable feel. My room was spacious and clean, and the little details had been taken care of nicely.

We had a private room for two, with plenty of space and a big bed. There was a fan, but the room still felt really hot. I got urticaria on my last day, which I think was from the bed. I'd used alcohol on the earlier days, but not that last day. We shared the bathroom with the room next door, and it was good.

We spent seven days here and had a nice stay. The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We had a private room but the toilet and shower were outside it. Reception isn't open around the clock, though you get a key for the outer doors. There's also a fridge and hot water flask for everyone to use on the first-floor landing. The one issue for us was Wi-Fi: it didn't work on the second floor, and people on the floors above said theirs was pretty bad too. Thanks for a nice stay.

For the price, it was a decent place to stay. The rooms were clean and nicely presented, and the shared bathrooms were clean too. Wi-Fi was stable and good, and the service was friendly and helpful. The bedding, though, was quite coarse and uncomfortable. I also found it odd that the front door and shutters were locked around 5 or 6 every day, and stayed locked all weekend. We got a padlock key to let ourselves in and out. Our window looked straight at the side of a building about two feet away, so the view wasn't great and airflow was limited. I know the view isn't really the hotel's fault.
