The staff were lovely, and the rooms have a useful setup with large lockers, an individual hanger for everyone, and privacy curtains. The beds are really big and comfortable. Everything was clean, and the location is great for getting to the Siam shopping malls.

Hairdryers, shampoo, and body wash were available, and there’s a 7 eleven next door. This is a very central location, but it didn’t feel like there was much local culture around. The common room felt like a staff cafeteria, with no sofas or comfortable places to sit. Staff were okay but seemed uninterested, and it didn’t have the usual hostel atmosphere. There were no activities, and the place felt more like a formal hotel. The other guests seemed to want their own space or be there for business. It may suit someone looking for a really quiet place, though our dorms weren’t quiet at bedtime, with people coming and going at all hours. That can happen in hostels, but I didn’t expect it somewhere this quiet.

I’ve traveled for years and have never felt so out of place in a hostel. Maybe I was unlucky, but the staff seemed grumpy, didn’t greet me warmly, and barely explained anything. When I tried saying hello to a few other guests, I just got strange looks. That same atmosphere seemed to carry into the rooms, where it almost felt like a contest to stay up latest and make the most noise. If you want to be by yourself and avoid socializing, this might suit you. Solo backpackers hoping to meet people and make friends in this city should probably stay elsewhere. I definitely won’t be back.

The management is terrible. They fine you and keep your deposit if you’re even one minute late, and they won’t let you use the bathroom. It feels like they’re trying to kick you out or just collect the fine. That’s only one of many problems. I’ve been to about 50 countries, and I’ve never had worse treatment. This is the worst hostel I’ve seen, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there.
