Rerkdee Bed and Breakfast

The host was lovely and spoke English well, and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. For the price, I’d come back. My king room was quite spacious, with a little balcony and fantastic views over the lake and mountains. You can watch the sunset right in front of you each day. The room was clean and in okay shape, and the air conditioning, hot water, and outlets all worked fine.

The breakfast was surprisingly the best we had in weeks of traveling around Thailand. Staff were lovely, helpful, and caring, and the location and sea view were both excellent. There’s a bar next door playing music until midnight, but the earplugs they gave us worked well. The bathroom smell was the only real downside. We noticed the same bad odor in several toilets around the hotel, so it seems to be a general issue.

The mattress and sheets were my main problem. They felt disgusting, and even at 250 baht a night, they should at least change the bed sheets. The place really needs a major renovation. It was also noisy, with loud music from the bar next door and a party downstairs where everyone was shouting. I left disappointed.

Good value, with a clean room and a nice view of the lake. There’s a bar downstairs, a few more nearby, and lots of food options.
