I was glad I’d brought my own blanket because it was cold. The room felt a little cramped, and the blankets there were too small for two people.

You can walk through the rice fields and look around the garden. Getting here is easy, just a three-minute drive from the main road, and there’s parking and a playground. Rooms start at 400 baht for a single bed.

The place sits among open fields, with a shady, restful feel, and it’s easy to get in and out near Highway 1202. It’s 10.6 km from the Phayao district office, in Mueang District. This modern daily stay has nine rooms: single, twin, triple, and family options. Each is furnished nicely and comes with air conditioning, two bottles of drinking water, and a water heater. There’s parking, a restaurant, a garden, and free Wi-Fi throughout, along with other services. Rates are inexpensive.

I didn’t stay on 11/7/65. The approach was quite a way from the main road, along a narrow road with lots of bends. About 100 meters from the resort, the road was flooded, with roughly 10-25 cm of water over a stretch around 30-40 meters long.
