Garden Place

We were only there for a late arrival and early departure, so having no extra amenities suited us. The room had a working TV we never turned on, usable Wi-Fi, decent water pressure, and a clean bathroom as pictured. The mini-fridge had two bottles of water and a couple of Pepsi cans for 15 baht each, handy if you didn't want to go to the market. There’s a pleasant pond for a walk within about a kilometer, plus a good noodle shop and a few small stores and other places to eat nearby. We found the place on Google Maps and paid 380 baht, the rate other guests had mentioned. The listed rate is 450 baht, which seems fair if they're close to full. At 10 pm we saw four families checked in, and there may be around 12 rooms. Call ahead about availability. It's very close to the military golf course and PhetchabunG.C., and near the city center.

The owner was really helpful, and they even provided morning coffee, EU char koay and toast for free. Our room was very clean and roomy, with a large porch where we could park the car right out front. A pleasant place for an overnight stay.

After a month travelling around Thailand, this was the best accommodation I found in the country. The staff were fantastic and helped us out so well. For me, it’s the best place to stay in Phetchabun, and I’ll definitely return.

The room felt so comfortable and nice, and the price was absolutely worth it.
