Dorm of Happiness by Tharaburi

The buffet breakfast was a real highlight, with loads of Western and Asian choices. It was the best breakfast we had during our four weeks in Thailand. We also made good use of the free bikes to visit the historic park and nearby area every day. We booked the whole three-bed dorm room for ourselves. The staff put two beds together so we had a king size, and the room felt spacious and bright. We worried a bit about sharing bathrooms down the hall, but they were close by, clean, and private, so it turned out fine. The pool was great for cooling off in the hot afternoons. Just watch out, the tiles around it get quite slippery when wet. Staff were friendly and helpful, called tuk tuks for evening outings, and offered suggestions for things to do. Their English was pretty good, and Google Translate helped when we got stuck. It was nice and quiet in the neighborhood, while still easy to reach the park and nearby town. We'd definitely stay again.

I was especially glad about the location and the free bicycles, which made it simple to explore the historical park. I stayed for two nights, and the complimentary water and snacks were a nice touch too.

I wish the room had a mini-fridge.
