There seemed to be five or six staff members sitting at the back of the rooftop doing nothing, while just one person was serving. I went up to the pool at 4pm, when it opened, and waited 35 minutes for someone at the bar to bring a towel and a drink. They saw me and walked past several times, serving other customers even though I'd arrived first. Once I finally had a table and towel, a staff member said the table was reserved, though there was no sign, and told me to sit away from the pool. There weren't any sun loungers either. Really poor service, and a complete waste of time, money, and the experience I was expecting.

The rooftop on the 7th floor really made the place stand out. The food was great, the service was top notch, and the live music each night was a treat. My beer barely got below half full before someone topped it up. The room was great too.

The rooftop pool was sensational, and getting an early check-in after a 3.5 hour drive was a big help. Check-in itself was pleasant enough, though they didn't give us much information. The room was clean and the pillows were comfortable. Our door lock failed and took a couple of hours to fix, which was frustrating since we couldn't leave our belongings unsecured. Drinks cost a lot, but that's about what you'd expect at a hotel. Breakfast was average. For a stopover, the price made it good value overall. 👍

There's not much to see in the city, so you'll need to head to the national park or somewhere else. The hotel itself is pretty decent, with distinctive architecture and interiors built around a triangle concept that make for a photogenic view.

I really liked the coffee shop, with its relaxed feel, good coffee, and croissants. The rooftop was chilled too, with tasty food and drinks when I went one evening. The hotel is only six floors, plus the rooftop on seven, but has great city and mountain views. Rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. Everyone on staff was super nice. There are two pools and plenty of parking, and the place has a Japanese vibe. I'd definitely recommend it.
