The 8 Factory Hostel

Grandma Arma's place was a lovely spot for our one night in Phitsanulok. We slept quietly and well, and the hosts kindly let us check out late. The superior room was well equipped, with a comfortable King bed. Arma was wonderful, and made great coffee. She runs the place, which feels a bit like a museum, with an eclectic mix of industrial, music, motorcycle and pop art, plus memorabilia. It’s a groovy place to relax. We’ll definitely come back. The Deluxe room was very clean, but I found the place loud by the road around midnight and it didn't have much of a hostel feel. Nobody was really chatting. I booked after seeing the good reviews, so I hope people describe their stays honestly. Personally, I think travelers can find better options.

We kept coming back to No 8 for coffee. The decor is really interesting, and the coffee is well roasted and beautifully made and served.

The room was spacious, lovely, and had a clean shower and toilet. Staff were very friendly, and the price felt fair. Breakfast was limited to toast and boiled eggs, so it could use more variety. It's a bit far from the city centre, and getting to the nearest 7/11 means a long walk. Still, I'd definitely come back.
