Mosquitoes filled the room, and the bed linen and towels smelled bad. I was disgusted when I went to put a bottle of water in the dirty fridge. There were lizard droppings on the table and kettle, and everything else seemed dirty too. Maybe this motel was in better shape when it first opened, but now the owner seems to take the 600 baht a night and pay no attention to hygiene. They should put fumitox in every room if they don't want to call pest control. Better to avoid staying here. 👎🏻

The room was modern and very clean, with a large glass front covered by a curtain. It had a fridge, AC, and the best WiFi I had on the whole trip. There was a shower curtain too, so water didn't splash all over the bathroom. I found the place on Google and arrived early, unsure if anyone would be there. At reception, an older woman couldn't speak English or understand my translator app, so I figured I was stuck. Then a cleaning lady came over, gave me a room, and said the owner would arrive later. When Gosajun got there, she answered all my questions, spoke very good English, and even drove me to the bus back to Loei on my last day. She was so friendly, the price was lower than I'd expected, and I felt in good hands the whole time. Thank you for a lovely stay!

At 500 baht, SJK Hotel is a fantastic deal. I'd have been happy paying 700 baht too. The place is modern, clean, and comfortable. Nicely done.
