I’ve stayed in other nearby hostels, and Ang Mor Lao is by far the best. It’s the sister hostel of Bhukitta Hotel & Spa, a 4 star establishment, and like the building next door, it hasn’t cut corners on design or guest amenities. The beds are SOFT and comfortable, towels are free, and the blanket is an oversized towel, which I’ve never come across before. Bathrooms are 4-star quality, and the body soap smells like baby powder. Well worth the extra dollars. Highly recommended.

Being right next to bus terminal 1 made getting around easy. The place was unusually quiet, even in high season, with hardly any tourists around. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel, and the bed was really comfortable with towels included. We got a very good deal on agoda, and it was worth the price. The sister hotel seemed to serve Chinese tour groups. The interior design was great too.

The bus station is right nearby, which was handy. I really liked the atmosphere and style, and there were comfy spots to relax with free tea and coffee.

For such a cheap price, it somehow felt luxurious, especially since there was only one other guest in the room. The swimming pool was a nice bonus too.
