Phaithong Sotel Resort Hotel

The rooms were clean, and the bungalows by the pool had a great vibe. It’s only a five-minute walk from the fitness area and Muay Thai gyms. This is a lovely local hotel that’s clearly looked after with care. At reception, Bambam is the sweetest person in Thailand. Her kind, warm personality can make your day better.

This is a budget hotel, and the staff are very friendly. Rooms are basic but clean, and the beds have the usual Thia hardness. They leave two small bottles of water each day, clean the room, and provide fresh towels. The hotel sits on a very busy dual carriageway, so you’ll need to hire a car or use Grabs all the time.

The hotel is a waste of money and looks nothing like the pictures. It’s far from all the important places. The bedsheets weren’t very clean, and the room was extremely noisy because it’s by the road. The AC was noisy too. The pool was tiny and the water seemed weird.

The rooms are pleasant, and the pool and gym are great. The restaurant and room service are good too, with tasty dishes prepared quickly. Staff are committed, responsive, and efficient, and the hotel is well run. I’m giving it four stars because the price is competitive. The soundproofing, though, is catastrophic: you can hear neighbors talking through the walls, noise like a rubbish dump by the pool, and traffic and motorcycle engines outside.
