Bandai II Poshtel

Don't count on friendly assistance here. The staff are nice people, but they don't speak or understand English well enough to help. Worst of all, there were bedbugs in both the mixed dorm and my single room, in the sheets, towels, or mattress, and I couldn't sleep. I stayed a couple of nights. The bathrooms have several problems: not all have hot showers, there isn't anywhere in the shared bathroom to put clothes or toiletries, and the doors don't close properly. My single room had no wardrobe or hangers. And if nightlife is what you're after, this isn't the place. There are a few useful things: a fridge guests can use, parking for a rented motorbike, a couple of books on the table, and an extension cord if you ask.

The owner and staff made this feel more like staying with friends than at a hostel. They were just awesome, and thanks, Tomo, for a great time! I had only planned one night in Phuket town but ended up adding four more. The hostel was clean and well located, with a kitchen for cooking and curtains around the beds. Best hostel I've stayed at so far.

The front desk ladies were really kind, friendly, and helpful, and breakfast was pretty good. It's a cute little hostel in Phuket city with a great location and free bike rental. There are only two bikes, though, and they weren't in perfect shape. One was broken, and I don't know whether it's been fixed. My main gripe was the bathroom setup. I was on the third floor of the second building, but had to go down to the first or second floor to use the bathroom. There was just one bathroom on each floor, combining the shower and toilet. Aside from having to wait sometimes, it's a great spot for a night or two in town.

The beds were super comfortable, with air conditioning in the rooms. Each bed had a curtain, a reading light, and a plug, everything you need. Bathrooms and the rest of the place were clean, and the staff were kind and great. Breakfast was good too, with toast, bananas, tea, and coffee. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.
