Oneloft Hotel

The location was really good when I stayed there last year. But the water was shut off at 10:00 AM on checkout day, so I couldn’t shower, even though the booking stated checkout was at 12:00. The receptionist didn’t speak English and tried to charge me twice. The hotel manager stepped in and helped sort it out, and she was very friendly.

Our booked room wasn’t available, so we ended up in a downgraded room. The rooms are small but okay, and the service is limited. The location is nice, between Kata and Karon beach.

The room was solid for the price, and the location was pretty good. Staff were nice, and it was reasonably clean. Our air conditioner’s outdoor unit made a lot of noise, though the biggest issue was other guests. They were loud late at night, and I could hear yelling downstairs after 2 AM. Several times, the second floor smelled strongly of weed. On our last night it was bad enough that I could smell it coming into my room at the entrance. The rooms have signs saying not to smoke, but I don’t know whether that rule is enforced. I didn’t contact the front desk after midnight because it didn’t feel like an emergency. I hope the hotel tells guests not to smoke at check-in and applies the penalty when people do. The other guests made our stay unpleasant.

I loved the room upgrade. It was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job. They also provided beach towels and a mat, and there’s a cute, sweet resident kitty to greet when you arrive. It was a short walk to the beach, with lots of food choices nearby. The bar attached to the hotel has great drink prices. I also enjoyed hearing how the owner put so much heart and soul into making this place. I admire people who know what they want to do and put in the work to make it happen. Can’t wait to stay here again.
