MT Friend Home & Hostel

I wasn't sure about this hostel at first, but it grew on me. The atmosphere is lovely, and the downstairs tables are a nice place to chat. I met some cool people there, and one day the hosts invited us to lunch they’d made with a guest, which was really nice. Rooms are cleaned daily, which is great since some hostels leave them dirty for days. You get a towel, water, coffee, and bananas for free. There are lockers with a key, and you can add your own padlock too. The room has air conditioning. The bathroom shares the room with the beds and has no door to block sound, which was a little awkward, haha.

Such lovely, friendly people here, and I really appreciated how they looked after me. They cleaned my room every day, left a free bottle of water and gave me a towel. The rooms were very clean too. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, and I’d really like to come back and visit them.

I picked this place because it’s tucked into a quiet alley, away from the noisy main road. It’s still right in the town center, about five minutes on foot from the bus terminal and night markets, and just two minutes from bars and restaurants. The price is very low, but the facilities are new. My room smelled nice, the hot water worked, the air conditioner was new, and the Wi-Fi was good. Nearby places that cost more have been noisier or had cold water, bad smells, or weak Wi-Fi. The hosts are kind and quick to help, including with luggage since there’s no elevator, and you can reach them online. The paintings and flowers make the place feel cared for, and the atmosphere felt like home, just like the name suggests.

The host was really friendly, and the room was nice and well located. Even at this budget hostel, they gave us a fresh water bottle and towel every day. Recommended!
