Carpio Hotel sits in a quiet area of Phuket Town, so I slept well on the comfortable bed. Big C, Louts, and Central Department store are nearby, about a 10-20 minute walk. Because of the pandemic, we had our tasty breakfasts in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Such a cozy place.

I was planning to book eight days, but the man I spoke with was sarcastic and unprofessional, nothing like what I'd expect from hotel staff. I decided not to stay. Even making a reservation involved arguing, and I could imagine feeling stressed instead of relaxed if I went ahead. Sigh.

The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. The entrance was a little dark, though, and the sign was small and hard to make out. (August 16, 2019)

The room is usable, but there's a musty smell, and the area looks old.
