Cloud 19 Panwa Hotel

From the street it doesn’t look like much, but once you’re inside it feels like a real hidden gem. The location is beautiful, the staff are lovely and kind, and the resort has all the amenities you could want. It was great value compared with other resorts and hotels. I stayed in room 306, with a hot tub on the balcony and an ocean view. Probably one of the best room views of all time. It felt like a taste of paradise.

We spent two nights at Cloud 19. The room was large and clean, the pool was nice, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There could be more loungers by the pool. There were too few, and some guests missed out. The beach looks lovely, though at low tide it’s very rocky and impossible to walk on barefoot. Breakfast is simple, and if you come early they keep replenishing it.

This quiet hotel sits right on the beach in a perfect location. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. There are no lifts, but we were on the second floor and the staff carried our luggage up to our large room. I was surprised to find another pool on the second floor, in addition to the main pool downstairs.

The resort is lovely for a quiet, relaxing stay, and the sunsets are spectacular. The pool is magnificent, the staff are friendly and helpful, and we were pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to a ground-floor Junior suite. It was spacious and beautiful, with a large bathroom and a magnificent balcony overlooking the beach. We came to Phuket for the first time hoping to get away from noisy party areas. This place is remote and peaceful, but getting around costs a lot. Expect taxi rides of 600+ baht for nearby trips and more for other attractions. Renting a scooter would make it easier. We paid 2,800 baht for an all-day island boat cruise, plus 300 baht for transfers because Panwa is quite a distance from most places. To the resort’s credit, they argued with the tour company and got that extra 300 baht waived because they send them a lot of customers. Breakfast was included, standard stuff, nothing exciting. Happy hour runs from 5-7pm, with two drinks for the price of one, including beer, wine, spirits, or cocktails. The restaurant is outrageously overpriced, and the food was average at best. We arrived late and paid 1,400 baht for three simple meals and one Chang. There are a few restaurants up the road past the 7 eleven that are great. Well, one is. See my other reviews. It’s a very nice place, though a little overpriced. Maybe that’s Phuket, everything seems expensive. Five nights cost us around 20,500 baht. If you want a peaceful location, consider staying here.
