Breakfast was good, with lots of variety and cuisines to choose from. The staff were helpful and cooperative, and I didn’t hear noise from neighboring rooms. The beach is about 350 meters away, and Terminal 21 is around 650 meters away, so the location is really convenient. My room was small but cozy, with a safe, a little electric kettle, a mini fridge, and two bottles of water each day. I also had a balcony for some night air. There’s an in house swimming pool, and the door has three locks, including a chain, which made me feel secure at night. The bathroom was the main problem. It’s cramped, and the toilet and bathroom are split by a glass door with barely enough room for one person. The hand shower sprays straight at the glass, and there’s no way to redirect it. Apart from that bathroom, I thought the hotel was a good place to stay, with the beach an easy walk away.

Joe deserves a special mention. She was wonderful with guests, always willing to help, coordinate with the team, and make sure things were handled. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, and the food was delicious at every meal. We had a lovely stay, and the beach was just a short walk away. It was a pleasure staying here on our trip, and I’d highly recommend it.

The beds were comfortable, and the room had basic toiletries plus tea and coffee facilities I found handy for breakfast or a late evening drink. IBIS Pattaya is a comfortable budget choice for all sorts of guests. The shower water ran warmer than usual. TV has about 100 channels, but most use Thai audio or are dubbed in Thai. One movie channel even has the English soundtrack dubbed into Thai with Thai subtitles, which makes no sense. The pool was okay, though at only 1.20 meters deep it felt crowded with more than five people in it, even in low season. The lifts were quite slow, and waiting to go up or down a few floors felt endless.

Sugar and Aom at reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, they greeted us with smiles, and the customer service was excellent. They set a positive tone for the whole stay.
