The location made it easy to walk to the airport bus, Old Town restaurants and shops, and there’s a 7-Eleven right next door. I’d also recommend trying the local street food. There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if you’re carrying very heavy luggage. I stayed in the 10-bed female dorm. It had lots of natural light, generous under-bed storage, lockers, and privacy curtains. The mattress was on the firm side but comfortable, and I appreciated the cozy comforter instead of the flimsy sheets many hostels use. The hostel was quiet and peaceful while I was there, a good place to rest before a long flight. The place was spotless and seemed recently renovated, especially the bright, spacious bathroom area. Free drinking water, basic toiletries, snacks, a lounge with games, a clean kitchen with cooking supplies, and a balcony for relaxing or smoking were all nice extras. The staff member who checked me in and showed me around was very welcoming and even helped me plan the airport bus for the next day.

I needed to take several work meetings on Zoom, and the WiFi, rooms, and common areas worked perfectly for that. The space was clean, modern, well equipped, and cool, with a shared kitchen, coffee, and snacks. Toothbrush, shampoo, and body wash were thoughtful extras. It’s right by a 7-Eleven and well placed for exploring Old Town on foot. I arrived late and they accommodated me without any issue. The front desk team were kind and helpful, including keeping my bags after checkout. A great base for seeing Phuket Old Town. I’d stay again without hesitation.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean, spacious, and cute, and the host was kind and very helpful. I’d definitely recommend this hostel to anyone planning to stay in Phuket old town.

I booked two nights at Our Nomad Hostel and ended up extending for another week. It’s just a few steps from Bus Terminal 1, where the yellow bus from Phuket Airport arrives. If you have heavy luggage, note that there’s no elevator and the staircase is narrow. Reception also closes at night, so let them know ahead of time if you’ll arrive late. I slept surprisingly well in the mixed dorm. It was spacious, with a large window facing the street, and the soundproofing kept outside noise from disturbing me. The mattress was quite firm, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable. I especially liked the blackout privacy curtains and the ample storage around the bed. The hostel is beautifully decorated and has all the facilities I needed: a lobby cafe, kitchen in the common area, clean shower rooms, and comfortable private and dorm rooms. The staff were so kind, helpful, and hospitable. It really felt like home, and I’ll stay here again when I return to Phuket.
