I Pavilion Hotel Phuket

We stayed 3 nights, and $1,500 USD was stolen from our in-room safe. The hotel says the safe can only be opened with the guest’s personal code. But documentation available to the public for the same safe, BE-TECH Model 3001D-3HL, says staff can open and close it using a master or owner code without knowing or erasing that code. We filed a police report, but received no investigation findings or apology. Other guest reviews describe the same issue, while management continues to deny staff access. Travellers should be careful with valuables in the in-room safe, or avoid staying here.

The rooms are roomy, with massive beds, large windows, and a great bathroom. There’s also a rooftop pool and gym, and everything was very clean. The hotel is in a quiet spot with a great view, right next to the old town. The front desk team were amazing, especially the older chap. He was so friendly and attentive!

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of plug points. Ours had a nice outside view, and the bathroom was roomy and well equipped. The pool is beautiful, with life jackets available, and there’s gym equipment too. For the price, iPavilion is great value and the place was clean. It’s right in the city center and close to the old town road, so we could walk there instead of taking a cab. A 7 Eleven is nearby, though the steep walk can be tiring. The fresh coffee machine has limited hours, and there weren’t enough usable umbrellas for the rain. A couple of things could be better. The elevator door closes too quickly and hits your shoulders unless you hold the button. Apparently, the engineers haven’t been able to fix it. The TV feels like it’s from the early 2000s, with poor resolution and awful viewing angles. Cable is useless unless you know Thai, and even cheap hotels now have smart TVs. One man at reception was friendly, welcoming, and a joy to talk to. The woman working there usually said no to questions and looked tired of the job. I’d still rate the hotel highly and come back, but please fix that garbage TV. 😅

That little pool on the fifth floor is the real gem. There’s also a free coffee machine in the lobby, and plenty of good small restaurants and shops are an easy walk away. The hotel sits down an alley, so it’s very quiet. We stayed 3 nights in January 2026 at the iPavillion in Old Town Phuket. It’s a large 12 story hotel in a good part of Old Town. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with sturdy wooden furniture and a huge bed with clean, fresh sheets and pillows. They provided water and toilet paper daily. There’s a small fridge and a small TV if you need them. For the price, we’d definitely stay again.
