A handy place to stay if you need to be near Bangkok hospital phuket. The building is old and minimally maintained. There’s a rooftop pool that’s clean and large, but it has no sun loungers or anything else.

The rooms were fine, and the older building could be improved with proper maintenance. Even replacing the stained, dirty toilet seats that look about ten years old wouldn’t take much money. The service was a bigger problem. We arrived at 9 PM and spent 5-10 minutes trying to find a staff member. We didn’t see anyone at reception for the rest of our stay. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work, so we reported it and got another room for that night. The woman said a technician had checked the AC that day and found nothing wrong, but that they’d call him again the next day. We were told he’d come at 5 PM, so we planned our day around being back then, as I wanted to see what he did. We came back on time, but he’d already left. Why agree on a time with guests and then not stick to it? The AC never worked properly after that. It barely cooled the room, switched to fan mode at random, and was as loud as a tractor. With two walls made entirely of windows, the room could reach 30°C. When it did cool down, it froze us. We could hardly sleep. The inside of the unit was covered in mold, which raises serious health concerns. What kind of technicians are they using, and does the mold not matter? Meanwhile, the cannabis shop on the ground floor had a brand-new AC unit.

The hotel was good, with lovely, accommodating staff, nice facilities and room amenities, and a really pretty rooftop pool. We needed to be near the hospital for our son, and it’s very close. Still, we weren’t comfortable staying there with our child because it’s next to a cannabis plant and warehouse.

The view is amazing, and the rooms are quiet and spacious, which could work well for families or couples. As a solo female traveller, though, I’d avoid it. There’s no security person, and the atmosphere felt a little scary at night. We had a lot of trouble sorting out breakfast: there’s no buffet, and they didn’t offer Indian or vegetarian options. The service wasn’t that great either, and I didn’t feel it was worth the money.
