Katathani Phuket Beach Resort

The whole wedding came together so smoothly, which mattered a lot when we had so many guests flying in. I’d been nervous about arranging it overseas, but planning was simple and faultless. By the time we arrived for the rehearsal, everything was taken care of and all our details were neatly together in a folder. We even got to try the wedding cake. On the day, the care showed in every detail, from the steaming of the draping to the flowers and table decor. The resort itself is stunning, with immaculate grounds and facilities that work for children and adults of all ages. The beach is breathtaking too, with clear water and soft sand. This hotel will always mean so much to us because we got married there last year. I can’t fault it and highly recommend it for a family holiday or an overseas wedding. It gave us a lovely, stress-free celebration and memories we’ll keep for life.

We spent two weeks here in November, and Katathani was a good family stay, though I wouldn’t call it a luxury hotel. There are several pools, including an adults-only one. For a quieter stay, I’d ask for a room near that area, around the Thani wing. Our room there had a nice view and was always clean. My parents-in-law stayed in the Bhuri wing, across the road from the main building. It was quiet there, with a pleasant garden view. The beach is right in front of the hotel grounds, and because the hotel occupies most of it, it felt fairly quiet. Sunbeds are on hotel property, though the ones directly on the beach cost extra. There are showers and little foot-washing pools for rinsing off sand. Fresh beach towels were delivered to each room every evening, when wet ones were collected. On some early days the waves were decent and red flags were up. We could swim in a designated area watched by a lifeguard, and jumping in the waves was fun. I imagine they can get pretty high in monsoon season. The sea was calm on other days, though there wasn’t much to see in the water apart from crabs at the far end of the beach. Breakfast had a good range of choices. Plenty of cafés and restaurants are nearby, since the hotel restaurants are quite expensive. We also ordered room service and really enjoyed the food. Hotel staff offer massages on the grounds, with the cost charged to your room. Prices were good and so were the massages. You can lie on a sunbed or go to the massage area. The hotel app, which you can install at check-in, lets you ask for towels, vanity kits, and other things. It also has live chat with reception, a map, and the day's activities.

Pearry and Jenny at the front desk were especially helpful when I ran into a small booking issue. They were patient and warm as they sorted it out, and check-in through checkout went smoothly. The tropical gardens, pools, palms, and frangipani make the hotel feel like a holiday as soon as you arrive. It’s right by the beach and so beautiful and relaxing. The setting was amazing, but the service is what made our stay unforgettable.

Everything was well organized, and everyone seemed focused on making our stay a great one. The hotel is right on the beach, with lots of restaurants, markets, and bars nearby to suit what guests are looking for. It also has a gym, water park, kids club, and massage centres. I can’t think of much they couldn’t offer. I had a remarkable stay, thanks for such a great experience. I recommend it with both hands. 💕
