The best thing was the location. It was about a 5-minute walk to the Old Town, along the same road and next to the Terminal 1 bus garage. There were also some really nice street food vendors on the way down. We stayed four days in a private room with my partner. The room was spacious, they left fresh water every day whether it had been cleaned or not, and the hot water never ran out. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a nice deck with seating where we could relax. The bed was extremely hard, and we both woke with back pain every morning. After about 15 minutes, the air conditioning would start leaking and spitting, so we kept switching it off to avoid water on the floor. It was noisy too. We were on the first floor and the cleaners and front desk would wake us around 7am every morning. There also seemed to be a noisy generator on the balcony. For a hostel, it was decent, but several things could be improved. We'd give it 3.5/5.

We were a group of six and booked two triple-sharing rooms. The stay was amazing and affordable, with tidy rooms, helpful staff, and an easy check-in. The shared washrooms were well maintained. They provided water bottles and fresh towels every day, plus complimentary coffee and some snacks. It's an easy walk to the best spots in old town. I'd give it 10/10.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were clean and much more modern than I expected. With the privacy, working AC, and quiet feel, Lub Sbuy Hostel came across more like a hotel to me. Great value for the price, and a good choice if you want somewhere clean and calm to rest.

Coffee and morning snacks were included, and the room was quiet and clean. It’s also very close to the center and the pubs. Someone took my charger while I was charging my AirPods in the outdoor area, so I wouldn’t leave things there. The owner was kind and gave me one of his chargers instead.

The bathroom could’ve been cleaner, and this wasn’t the cheapest hostel we stayed at, though I still felt it was worth the money. The dorm was a decent size and had very cold AC. Other guests were mostly quiet and respectful. It’s about a five minute walk to Old Town, far enough from the noise, and close to the bus terminal. The direct airport bus there costs 100 baht, which is really cheap.
