I only stayed one night, but for the same money I’d rather get a room with air conditioning that works properly. For 600 baht, Topaz résidence has better rooms. The family is nice, and the room is quite big and comfortable, but it’s really noisy from the road and the air conditioner. It needs double-glazed windows so you can sleep without being disturbed. It seems good for local people in Asia, less so for Western tourists. I’m pretty sure it’ll close in a few years. In Thailand, don’t go below 600 baht. Above that, it’s kind of a lottery.
