I’d avoid this accommodation. After a long 12 travel, I arrived hoping to get some sleep, but the room had signs asking guests to be quiet while I could hear people in rooms beside and below me chatting loudly all night. The walls and floors don’t block sound, and I could hear everything. The bed was rock hard, and there was no proper bed covering, just a tiny throw. I couldn’t sleep or relax, and had to get up early the next morning. I’d booked 7 nights, but the noise, hard bed, and lack of covers meant I couldn’t stay. I explained this to the accommodation manager and asked for a refund so I could find somewhere I could sleep. They refused, and didn’t offer even a small refund. I’m very disappointed with how the complaint was handled. I wasn’t expecting all my money back, but I’d only spent 7 hours in the room. I know the room was booked after I checked out, so management kept my money and rented it again without losing money. So, again: a hard bed, no suitable covers, and rooms where you hear every sound from beside and below you. No sleep. There are signs telling guests to be quiet and walk quietly in their rooms, but no apology or refund. I rate this establishment 0 out of 5.

We had the family room and it had everything we needed. The place is basic but clean, and well located for exploring Phuket on foot. The main street brings some noise, but it’s also super well located, so expecting a quiet night in busy Phuket is almost impossible.

A peaceful little corner with a small art workshop where you can spend some time. They sell rare snacks and toys too, handy if you’re looking for souvenirs. The cute clay keyrings and magnets are 100% handmade, and you can paint one yourself if you like.

An old-style Phuket house and cozy hostel, right in the heart of the city. Talang Road, the Sunday walking street night market (Lad Yai), the fresh market, and the local bus stop with lots of buses parked nearby are all close. It’s easy to find local food around here. If you want to watch the Phuket Vegetarian festival each year, staying here makes it very easy to see the parade. #phuketoldtownhostel #42krabiroad #phuketoldtown

For such an affordable price, this is great value. You’re right in the middle of Phuket Old Town and close to the night market. The staff member was very friendly. Her English vocabulary was limited, but she could take care of our basic needs. We had a king bed and private toilet on the second floor. The AC worked, which you definitely need in this heat. Bathwater sometimes swung between super hot and warm every few seconds, and soundproofing was poor, so we had to keep our voices down for the neighbours. Shampoo, water, and some snacks were provided.
