Royal Crown Hotel & Palm Spa Resort

I came back in 2018 through an RCI exchange point match. Some in-room renovations had been done, including a sea-view photo and an upgrade from a 22-inch to a 40-inch TV. You can choose a room in the hotel building on the sea-view side or a private bungalow on the hill. During my December 2018 visit, new construction was underway near the sea-view side of the hotel building. More details with photos from 2016: the hotel has two names, 7Days Premium Hotel Patong for Chinese customers. It’s a budget hotel with good service.

The location was quiet and a 10-15 minute walk from the beach, and there were several kinds of rooms. We came from Russia with Pegas Touristic and were first given a terrible basement room with no window. The AC barely worked, it smelled musty, and the towels were old and dirty. We asked to change rooms and paid an extra 300 Bht. The new room was just okay, clean and bright, with a window and a second-floor balcony. Cleaning was good each day, but during our 10-day stay they never changed the bedclothes. The staff were really rude and emotional. There were also a lot of Russian and Chinese guests.

A clean place with friendly staff, away from the hustle and bustle. I’ve stayed here four times and love it.

The bed and cushions weren’t comfortable, and the service quality was poor.
